About the Faculty

The Faculty of Biology at LMU Munich is one of the largest and most diverse biology faculties in Germany. It is characterized by a wide range of research areas and offers a variety of study opportunities. Due to its location on the Martinsried campus, it is closely linked to other university and non-university institutions.

The faculty is managed by a faculty board; a faculty council and strategic committees are involved in matters of research and teaching.

Mentoring & Networking

The LMU mentoring program of the Faculty of Biology aims to support highly qualified young female scientists in their scientific careers on their way to a professorship.
